In 2013, we brought the first Optus RockCorps gig to Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion. 5,000 volunteers who signed up to give 4 hours of time to their community joined us for an exclusive party.
CHECK OUT THE HIGHLIGHTS
The gig kicked off with Guy Sebastian unleashing a torrent of hit singles, whipping the crowd up in a frenzy. He even slipped in an Optus RockCorps improv based on our motto, which raised a few cheers from the volunteers. He was a hard act to follow, but Potbelleez pulled it off, with their high-energy mix of charm and infectious beats.
Next up was Tinie Tempah, fresh off the plane from London, he didn’t let the jetlag get in the way of a stellar performance.
The big encore of the night was saved for The Script, who brought down the house with hit after hit.
The gig was a blast. And the good news is, we’re having another one this year, and you can join us. Here’s how.
